8 TIPS TO HELP YOU DESTRESS YOUR MIND AND RELAX YOUR BODY


I don’t know what I would do if my life weren’t crazy and I didn’t feel like I was running in circles all the time.  I’m going to bet I would get more done, but stress often seems t get the best of me.  Avoiding stress can be difficult, especially because so many of us lead a busy lifestyle.  Since stress is unhealthy both mentally and physically it’s important to find different ways to destress.


8 TIPS TO HELP YOU DESTRESS YOUR MIND AND RELAX YOUR BODY

1.) Fit in a workout – Whether you run 5 miles, or you stop for 10 minutes a few times a day exercise is a great way to help you destress.  The cool thing about destressing with a workout is that you can do any activity and exercise you like just as long as you get up and moving.

2.) Write it down – Write it down – Writing things down often helps me understand why I am stressed. I’ll start jotting dow a few word and before I know it I have cleared my mind from all the daily stress.
3.) Go outside – Go outside, breath in some fresh air and get a little sun. All it takes is a few minutes to destress and clear your mind if you take in deep breath, Excel and repeat until you feel your body and mind relax.
4.) Meditate – If you haven’t tried mediation, I suggest it. I’ve tired it several times, and it was okay, but I wasn’t doing it right. Once you figure out how to meditate it works wonders. Mediation is my favorite way to destress, clean my mind, and relax.
5.) Healthy eating and sleeping – Do you best to eat healthily and get enough sleep so you can look and feel your best, which will help you deal with stress.
6.) Go for a drive – Jump in the car, turn on some music and enjoy a nice drive.
7.) Stop rushing – I know it’s easier said than done, but rushing only adds stress it doesn’t make thing happen any faster. Even if it does you won’t save that much time, it’s not worth the stress. Plus, if you are like me you’ll knock everything over while you are rushing down the hall anyway.
8.) Do a puzzle – Puzzles have always helped me deal with stress. I like doing puzzles because it keeps my brain focused doing something I enjoy and my body relaxed, I forget all about the day, what I need to do, and focus on putting the puzzle together. And in today’s world all you have to do is grab your phone to put together a puzzle, they’re awesome, and since the app is free, it’s totally affordable.
I have always loved to do puzzles. I remember when I was younger before I had children I had a puzzle table. See I could have one of those because I didn’t’ have children. I could do a lot back then because I didn’t have children and you know I’d happily give up my puzzle table and everything again or them, but ONLY because I can keep my puzzles pieces in my phone.
